Pic 1 shows the south roll up door area ready for
paint. Roll up doors were supposed to be
installed this last week but they're apparently waiting on this work to be
complete.
Pic 2 shows the work at the 4300 building Path of
Travel. The same access mat used prior
to the exterior door will also be used in the vestibule to avoid multiple
colors contrasting into the building.
This mat appears to be very durable and apparently priced well. Demolition has stopped and as you can see the
back fill has been installed and compacted.
Pic 3 shows the electrical completed at the
concentrate storage area.
The plumbing for these are mostly complete
also however the final tie ins to the tanks inside the building have not been
met yet. The last caustic tank will be
removed to allow for installation of the eye wash/shower/holding tank.
Pic 4 shows all of the splash walls installed. In the background you can also see that the
handrail on top of the Crystallizer has also been installed. The steam ports on the side of the
Crystallizer have also been removed and welded shut. If zoomed in, you can see that the caustic
and sulfuric plumbing has been installed up to the DMP holing tanks, but the
bulkhead fittings haven't been installed yet.
Pic5 shows the
electrical hooked up to all of the rectifiers.
This ended up being contract work where it was thought to be T&M.
Some motor hook ups are also contract work.
Notice in the background the buss bars welded up through the verticals
near the tanks (first anodize tank only so far).
Pic 6 shows the cable
carrier and cable pulled so that it can be hooked up to the control panel next
week when the electricians are done with contract work (likely Wednesday). Wiring will be hooked up to the hoist and
down to the End of Line J box today.
Pic7shows the 2"
x 6" buss bars being cut to length after being welded together. These are for ano tank 1.

Pics 11 and 12 show the path of travel work done up to the 4300 building
Pics 13 and 14 show
the work done at the path of travel today.
Notes
*Sunrise began
excavation of the new fire hydrant today.
They broke a small copper line underground but were able to shut water
off to it. At the time they didn't know
what it went to. I understand that they
will have to have a watch person all night since the trench will be open and
there needs to be a fire watch.
*Mounting panels were
installed so that the 2 step and anodizing controls can be mounted. Shasta Controls will use the same mounting
panels which are scrap aluminum sheet attached to unistrut between the vertical
hoist posts.
